Marken's handful of souvenir shops cluster around the harbour. Clogs, Delftware, and smoked fish are the main purchases. The island is not a shopping destination; nearby Volendam and Edam have more variety. The house maintained as Sijte Boes's souvenir shop at the harbour is the most historically interesting of the lot.
