Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum is Trondheim's big open-air museum, built around historic wooden buildings moved from across the region. Farmhouses, town streets, workshops, and interiors show Trøndelag life in a way that complements the city's cathedral-and-fortress history.
It is at its best when interpreters, animals, or seasonal events animate the grounds, but the buildings alone reward a slow wander. Allow enough time: the museum is larger than it first appears from the entrance.
