Malta Lake

Poznan's urban recreation lake, used for rowing, cycling, skating, and easy waterside walks.

Malta Lake is Poznan's outdoor playground, an artificial lake east of the old centre with paths, rowing facilities, picnic lawns, and enough space to make the city feel suddenly less dense. It is not a wilderness escape, but it is one of the best places in town to see local life outside the cafe-and-square circuit.

The flat loop around the water is good for walking or cycling, and major rowing and canoeing events are held here. Families come for the nearby leisure attractions; travellers usually come for a breather after museums and churches.
