Saúde Beach is one of Setúbal’s close-in beaches, tucked below the city on the road toward the Arrábida coast. It is not as dramatic as Galapinhos or as wide as Figueirinha, but it has the practical advantage of being reachable without turning the day into an excursion.
Use it for a quick swim, a pause after the market and old town, or a low-key sunset before dinner. If you have a full beach day, continue west into Arrábida; if you only have an hour, Saúde makes the Sado waterfront feel immediately accessible.
