Tucked just off Piata Sfatului, the Muzeul Civilizatiei Urbane occupies a beautifully restored Saxon merchant's house and reconstructs daily life in the city across four centuries. Rooms are set up by period and trade — a pewter-smith's workshop, a 19th-century parlour, a tailor's, an apothecary — using objects from Brasov families and the guilds that ran the town.
It is small, calm and exactly the right size for a one-hour visit between bigger sights. Signage is partly translated; pay the small extra for the English audio guide if you want the detail. Closed Mondays.
