A colossal beer hall behind Romexpo, on the northern edge of Herăstrău Park — at over 2,000 covers it claims to be the largest restaurant in Europe, and on a summer evening when the terraces are full it might well be. The space is laid out like a Bavarian bierkeller crossed with a stadium, with stage at one end and beer tanks visible behind glass.
The kitchen turns out competent Romanian and central European staples — pork knuckle, mici, sausages — at fair prices, and the beer is brewed on site. The real draw is the lively atmosphere, the live concerts that run most nights of the week, and the riverside terrace in summer. Walk-ins fine on weekday lunches; book ahead for any evening with a concert.
