The Old Centre has transformed into one of Europe's liveliest bar districts. Dozens of bars, clubs, and terraces fill the narrow streets around Lipscani, many of them in atmospheric old buildings with exposed brick and courtyards. In summer the entire area becomes an open-air party. Craft beer has arrived in force, and cocktail bars are increasingly good. Prices remain low by western European standards — a beer rarely costs more than a few euros.
