Bucharest's sights span five centuries — from the medieval ruins of the Old Princely Court to the absurdly oversized Parliament Palace. The city's churches are often hidden behind apartment blocks but reward the curious with beautiful frescoes and carved stone. The museums are excellent and cheap, and the parks offer welcome relief from the traffic.
