The Hünkâr Camii ("Sultan's Mosque") is the oldest surviving mosque in Constanța, built in 1869 during the final decade of Ottoman rule over Dobruja. It is a modest, low building of pale stucco with a slender wooden minaret — a quiet contrast to the much grander Grand Mosque a few blocks south. The interior is plain, with simple wooden screens and a single small mihrab.
The mosque sits on the western edge of the old town and is still used by the local Tatar and Turkish community. Visitors are welcome outside prayer times; head scarves are appreciated for women, and shoes come off at the door.
