Roman Mosaic Edifice

The Roman Mosaic Edifice is one of the major remains of ancient Tomis. Discovered during utility work in Ovidiu Square in 1959, the 4th-century complex once linked the city to the old port across three terraces. About 700 square metres of mosaic survive, enough to show the scale of the original hall and its marble-lined architecture.
