Yekaterinburg has a small one-line metro running north–south through the centre, useful for reaching Uralmash, Botanicheskaya and the main railway station. Trams, trolleybuses and buses form a dense network on the surface — Apple Pay and contactless cards work on most.
The historic centre is small enough to walk: from the Iset embankment to Church on Blood is fifteen minutes. Yandex Taxi is reliable, cheap and the easiest way to reach outlying sights. A hire car is useful for Ganina Yama, the Europe–Asia border, and the Museum of Military Equipment.
