Bodegas Valdespino gives Jerez another serious sherry stop beyond the obvious central names. Now visited through the Real Tesoro and Valdespino complex, it connects century-old soleras with the broader Jerez world of horses, carriages, art collections, and carefully staged tastings.
Book ahead rather than drifting over, since tours and tastings depend on schedules. It is a commercial winery, but sherry is one of the reasons to come to Jerez in the first place, and a good bodega visit makes the city's chalk soils, barrels, and patient ageing much easier to understand.
