A 19th-century lighthouse at the eastern end of Marbella's small fishing harbour, still operational and visible from the promenade. The harbour itself is the most authentic part of the waterfront — fishing boats, equipment sheds, and the smell of diesel and salt, unchanged in character from the pre-resort town. The fish sold at the harbour in the early morning comes directly from the boats and finds its way into the coastal restaurants by lunchtime.
The lighthouse and harbour make a good starting point for a walk east along the Paseo Marítimo toward the Playa de la Fontanilla and then up into the old town.
