Iglesia de San Vicente Martir stands in Abando, away from the tight lanes of the old town but close enough to fit naturally into a central Bilbao walk. Its Gothic-Renaissance character and calm interior give this business district a useful older anchor.
It is a short stop, best combined with the nearby riverfront, Jardines de Albia, and the walk toward the Ensanche. Bilbao's big architectural drama is modern, but churches like San Vicente keep the city's older urban layers visible.
