Puppy is the giant floral terrier standing outside the Guggenheim Bilbao, and it has become almost as much a city image as the museum's titanium curves. Jeff Koons made the sculpture monumental and absurd at once: a West Highland white terrier shape covered in thousands of living flowers.
You do not need a museum ticket to see it, which is part of its charm. The planting changes with the seasons, so the sculpture looks different from visit to visit, and it makes an easy starting point for a walk along the Nervión riverfront.
