Caroli Church (Caroli kyrka) is the city's main parish church, a brick-built basilica in the central square. The current building dates from 1669 — the original wooden church was destroyed in one of the recurrent fires that swept through Borås in its early years — and the interior has been rebuilt and altered several times since. The result is a calm, well-proportioned space with a tall white-painted nave and a notable Baroque pulpit.
Worth a stop more for context than for architectural drama: the church sits right next to the Pinocchio statue on Stora Torget, and a quick look inside is part of any walk around the centre. Usually open weekdays during daylight hours.
