Parc de la Grange

Geneva lakeside park with lawns, rose gardens, and villa views

Parc de la Grange is Geneva at its most relaxed: broad lawns above the lake, old trees, formal flower beds, and a rose garden that is far more graceful than the city's buttoned-up reputation suggests. The park slopes gently from the Eaux-Vives side toward the water, with enough space to read, picnic, or simply cool down after museum and diplomatic-quarter visits.

It is also quietly historic. Villa La Grange has hosted major diplomatic meetings, but most visitors come for the views and the breathing room. Pair it with a walk along the lakefront or neighbouring Parc des Eaux-Vives, especially in late spring and summer when the roses are at their best.
