Klosters Platz

Klosters Platz is the main railway station for Klosters, served by the Rhaetian Railway on the Landquart–Davos line. The station and the surrounding quarter form the more southerly of Klosters's two village centres, connected to Klosters Dorf to the north by the main valley road. The Rhaetian Railway's narrow-gauge trains connect Klosters in both directions — to Davos in 15 minutes and to Landquart (for connections to the main line) in 35 minutes.

The area around the station has a good concentration of traditional alpine hotels and smaller guest houses, and is the base for the ski school that operates on the Parsenn and Gotschna areas. The village trail system starts here for several of the popular summer walking routes into the Prättigau.

A story
Klosters Platz is the lower railway station and the older of the two village centres, sitting about 1.5 kilometres south of Klosters Dorf. The two halves of the village developed somewhat independently along the valley floor and retain slightly different characters — Platz is marginally quieter and more local in feel, with fewer of the international hotel chains that have moved into Dorf.
