Rote Fabrik is a former silk factory on the western shore of Lake Zurich, converted in the 1980s into one of the city's best-known independent arts centres. Come for concerts, theatre, film, exhibitions, or simply to see a rougher cultural corner of Zurich beside the lake, with a restaurant and event spaces inside the old industrial buildings.
