Chichester rewards a slow walk. The Roman walls and grid of four main streets centred on the Market Cross set the day's first hour. After that, the cathedral, Pallant House, and the festival theatre are the city's three big stops. Out of town, Fishbourne Roman Palace, Goodwood, and the Weald and Downland Museum each justify a half-day.
