Assembly Hall Theatre

The Assembly Hall is the town's largest venue with just over a thousand seats. Opened in 1939 as a multi-purpose civic hall, it now hosts touring West End productions, ballet, comedy and large-scale concerts. The building is set back from Crescent Road behind the Town Hall and shares the civic complex with the borough offices.

It is the main stage for the Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Tunbridge Wells Choral Society. The annual Tunbridge Wells International Music Competition for young pianists has been held here since the 1990s.
