Eating Out

Leeds punches above its weight for dining. The student population keeps prices competitive, while a cosmopolitan mix of residents has produced a genuinely international restaurant scene. You will find excellent Indian food around the Headrow and in the suburbs, strong Thai and East Asian options in the city centre, and a growing number of independent restaurants doing modern British cooking with local ingredients.

The area around Call Lane and the Corn Exchange has the highest concentration of restaurants, but it is worth venturing into the Northern Quarter and the waterfront for quieter spots with more character.
