St John's Church

St John's Church is one of central Leeds' most rewarding small historic sights. Built just before the English Civil War, it has an unusual double-nave plan and a richly carved interior that feels much older than the shopping streets around it.

The church sits in quiet gardens, making it an easy pause while walking between the city's arcades, markets, and civic buildings.
