Nevis Range Mountain Resort

The Nevis Range, on the slopes of Aonach Mòr just north of Ben Nevis, is Fort William's working ski resort in winter and one of Britain's best mountain-bike parks in summer. The gondola from the base station runs all year, taking visitors to 650 metres for the views down the Great Glen and up to the north face of the Ben — one of the best vantages on the mountain.

In summer the gondola also serves the downhill mountain-bike trails: Fort William hosts a round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup most years, and the World Cup track itself is open to hire-bike riders with the right skills. Walkers can use the gondola to access the high ridges of the Grey Corries and Aonach Beag — a useful shortcut.
