The longest electric cliff railway in Britain, running up Constitution Hill from the seafront since 1896. The views from the top across Cardigan Bay are excellent on a clear day — you can see the Llŷn Peninsula to the north and, on exceptional days, as far as Ireland. At the summit there's a cafe and the Great Aberystwyth Camera Obscura, which projects a live 360-degree panoramic image of the town and bay onto a large table — an old technology that still stops people in their tracks.
