Happy Valley

Historic terraced gardens and woodland walks tucked below the Great Orme

Happy Valley is the green pocket between Llandudno's seafront and the Great Orme, a set of terraced gardens, paths, and wooded corners that feels almost hidden once you step away from the pier. It began in the late nineteenth century and still carries a little of the Victorian resort mood: planted slopes, benches, sea air, and views that improve as you climb.

Use it as a gentle way into the Great Orme rather than as a destination to rush through. The park has public conveniences, a cafe, play areas, miniature golf, a camera obscura, and paths that link into longer walks above town. It is especially good when you want a quieter hour without leaving central Llandudno.
