The largest inland body of water in Barbados, Graeme Hall is a Ramsar-listed wetland covering around 36 hectares of mangrove swamp and open water in the middle of Christ Church. Herons, egrets, kingfishers, and migratory warblers use the sanctuary, along with dozens of other bird species. A boardwalk threads through the mangroves, and the site has an aviary of tropical birds.
The sanctuary was privately developed and has had a complicated history of closures and partial reopenings over the years — check current opening status before visiting.
