A peninsula under the south end of the Granville Bridge, redeveloped from an industrial sandbar into one of the city's most successful public spaces. The covered Public Market is the centrepiece — local produce, seafood, baked goods, and food stalls — and the surrounding streets hold artisan workshops, theatres, a working concrete plant, and dozens of small shops. Aquabus passenger ferries from downtown are the most pleasant way to arrive.
