BC Place

BC Place is Vancouver's big downtown stadium, known for its retractable roof and its role as home ground for the BC Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps. It also hosts major concerts, conventions, and international sporting events, so the building is often part of the city's event calendar even if you are not following a team.

The most useful visitor angle is the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum inside the stadium, with exhibits on provincial sports history and figures such as Terry Fox and Rick Hansen. Even from outside, the stadium is a clear landmark on the edge of Yaletown and False Creek.
