Library Square is the downtown home of Vancouver Public Library's central branch, designed by Moshe Safdie as a modern civic landmark. The building's curved outer wall and open public spaces give it a Roman-colosseum echo without feeling like a replica.
It is worth a look even if you are not using the library. The atrium and surrounding square are good places to pause in the downtown core, and the building is one of Vancouver's most recognizable pieces of late 20th-century architecture.
