The closest mountain peak to downtown Vancouver, accessible by aerial gondola from the North Shore. The summit (1,231m) has skyline views back over the city, a small ski area in winter, and grizzly-bear and lumberjack-show attractions in summer. The free Grouse Grind hiking trail (the locals' favourite cardio test) climbs 850m in 2.9km — one way only; ride the gondola back down.
