Commissioners Park runs beside Dow's Lake and is one of Ottawa's prettiest spring walks. It is best known for its tulip beds during the Canadian Tulip Festival, when the park becomes a long strip of colour along the water.
Outside tulip season it is still a pleasant lakeside green space, with paths, flower beds, and boat rentals nearby. It pairs naturally with the Rideau Canal and the Arboretum for an easy half-day outdoors.
