The largest ski area in eastern Canada by trail count, 45 minutes east of Québec City on the north shore of the St. Lawrence. Mont-Sainte-Anne has 71 trails spread across three faces, reliable snowfall supplemented by snowmaking, and 625 metres of vertical — serious skiing by any standard. The resort is family-oriented but has genuine challenge on the north face. Night skiing is available most evenings.
In summer, the gondola runs to the summit for views across the St. Lawrence valley, and the mountain hosts a world-class mountain biking circuit — the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup runs here annually. The trails through the forest are exceptional in autumn, when the hardwood colour is at its peak. Accommodation is available at the mountain, but most visitors stay in Québec City and drive or take a shuttle.
