Owned and operated by the 12 First Nations of the Prince Albert Grand Council, the Northern Lights Casino is one of Saskatchewan's larger entertainment venues — a 1,600-seat facility with gaming floors, a concert hall that books national acts, restaurants, and a hotel. It has become a significant economic hub for the First Nations communities of the region as well as a draw for visitors from across northern Saskatchewan.
The casino sits on the south side of the city and is open year-round. Concert bookings range from country and rock acts to Indigenous performers. The ownership structure — a collective of First Nations rather than a corporate chain — makes it a distinctive institution in the regional economy.
