Half Moon Bay

Small crescent beach at the heart of West End village

Half Moon Bay is the small, curving beach in the middle of West End — narrow, shaded by sea-grape trees, lined with beach bars and the dock for the water taxis to West Bay. It is not the prettiest sand on the island, but it is convenient if you are staying in West End and gives you a five-minute swim out to a good patch of reef.

Sunset here is the standard West End evening: a beer at one of the over-the-water bars, the sky going pink behind the cay across the channel, the dive boats coming in.
