Parque La Leona is a small hilltop park in the Barrio La Leona neighbourhood, above and southwest of Parque Central. The main draw is the view: from here you can see across the bowl of hills that Tegucigalpa occupies, with the urban sprawl spreading in all directions and the mountains beyond.
The park is a local favourite for an evening walk and has benches, shade trees, and vendors. It's reachable on foot from the historic centre — about a 15-minute uphill walk — and is generally safe during daylight hours. The neighbourhood below has some of the older residential architecture in the city.
