Located near the Convention Center in the Hotel Zone, this museum (officially the Museo Maya de Cancún) houses over 800 artifacts from Mayan sites including Tulum, El Rey, and Cobá. The collection spans ceramics, carved stone sculptures, jade jewellery, and burial objects from the pre-Columbian era. A good place to get context before heading out to the ruins. The grounds also include the small San Miguelito archaeological site, where you can walk among restored structures without leaving the museum complex.
