The antiques and curiosity quarter of Puebla's historic centre, centred on the Plazuela de los Sapos (Frog Square) a few blocks south of the Zócalo. The name comes from the frog carvings that decorate the fountain and benches of the small square. Permanent antique shops line 6 Oriente and the surrounding streets, selling colonial furniture, vintage silver, pre-Columbian reproductions, old ceramics, and general bric-a-brac.
On Saturdays and Sundays the square itself fills with outdoor stalls, making it a proper flea market — the sort where you occasionally turn up something genuinely old. Sunday morning is the best time to visit: the full outdoor market is running, the adjacent cafes are open, and the neighbourhood feels at its most alive. The nearby Bouchon de Hackl restaurant is a good spot for a late breakfast after browsing.
