Zacango Ecological Park is the Toluca area's major zoo, spread across a large site south of the city. It is a family-oriented attraction, but the scale and range of animals make it more substantial than a small municipal zoo.
The park is most useful for travellers with children or anyone spending more than a quick pass through Toluca. As with any zoo, judge it by current conditions and animal care, but as a regional outing it clearly belongs on the map.
