Ocean Park Beach

A two-kilometre stretch of beach between Condado and Isla Verde, fronted by small guesthouses rather than resort hotels. The Atlantic surf here is more consistent than at Condado, which is why the local windsurfing and kitesurfing schools have set up at the eastern end — Velauno is the longest-running of them.

The beach is wide, the sand is soft, and the crowd is more local than tourist. There are no formal facilities on the public sections — bring your own water and towel — but several of the back-row hotels (Hostería del Mar, Numero Uno) have beach bars and restaurants open to non-guests.
