The International Wildlife Museum sits on the western edge of town along Gates Pass Road, set up like a fort. It houses around 400 mounted specimens — most donated from the collections of game hunters — arranged in elaborate dioramas that illustrate African plains, Arctic tundra, and the desert mountains nearby.

It is controversial — most of the specimens are trophy mounts and the museum is run by Safari Club International — but the dioramas are well done, and the small theatre rotates documentaries on wildlife conservation. Combine with the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum further along the same road.
