The Winterhaven Festival of Lights is a seasonal Tucson tradition rather than a year-round sight. Each December, the Winterhaven neighbourhood becomes a walking route of decorated houses, crowds, donation points, and desert-night holiday atmosphere.
It is worth adding if your visit lines up with the dates, especially with children or anyone who enjoys local rituals more than formal attractions. Expect traffic and crowds; the best approach is to park legally outside the busiest streets and walk in.
