Sosa-Carrillo-Fremont House

Address 151 S. Granada Avenue, Tucson, AZ

A surviving 1858 Sonoran-style adobe house in the gap between downtown and Barrio Viejo, sometimes called the Fremont House because John C. Fremont's daughter Lily rented it for several years in the 1880s while her father was Arizona Territorial Governor.

The house was nearly demolished in the 1960s when the Convention Center took out most of the surrounding blocks. It survives now as a free public museum, furnished to the territorial period and run by the Arizona Historical Society. Open Wednesday through Sunday.
