A tiny but well-curated free museum on the side of the Tucson Station, covering the role of the Southern Pacific in turning Tucson from a Mexican border town into a small American city. Photographs, dining-car china, brakemen's lanterns, and dispatch logbooks.
Out front, you can climb onto the cab platform of Locomotive 1673, the city's restored steam engine. Open Tuesday to Sunday, donations welcome.
