A long-running rocks-and-fossils shop on the way out to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, with a vast warehouse stuffed with thousands of mineral specimens, geodes, meteorites and trinkets. It is part shop, part natural-history curiosity — even if you have no interest in buying, the giant petrified-wood logs out front and the trilobite cabinets inside are worth a look.
The whole place comes alive during the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in February, when satellite shows fill warehouses across the city. Free admission.
