A surprisingly large municipal aquatic complex behind Civic Center Park, with three pools — a 50-metre competition pool, an activity pool with slides and lazy river, and a children's wading area. It is open year-round and heated, so it works as a winter break too.
Admission is cheap by California standards and the place stays family-friendly without becoming chaotic. Useful if you are travelling with kids who have hit the wall on shopping and zoos.
