St. Thomas Aquinas Church is one of Palo Alto's older surviving churches, built in 1902 and still valued for its intimate scale, wood ceiling beams, and stained glass. It is a calm stop near downtown, away from the louder Stanford and Silicon Valley landmarks.
Film fans may know it from the cult classic Harold and Maude, but it does not depend on that connection. Visit respectfully, especially if services or parish events are underway.
