Tequesta

Quiet Palm Beach County village by the Loxahatchee River and Jupiter Inlet waterways.

Tequesta is a small residential village at the northern tip of Palm Beach County, where the Loxahatchee River meets the Jupiter Inlet. Named after the Tequesta people who once inhabited the area, the village was developed in the 1950s and retains a quiet, small-town feel compared to its more built-up neighbours.

Most visitors pass through Tequesta on the way to the Jupiter Inlet or the Loxahatchee River, which is excellent for kayaking and wildlife-watching. The area around the inlet is good for fishing, and Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a short drive north.
