Cove Spring Park is one of Frankfort's easiest nature breaks, with wooded trails, springs, wetlands, small waterfalls, and boardwalk sections tucked close to town. It is the kind of park that rewards slow looking: limestone, water, birdlife, and shade make it feel much larger than a quick glance at the map suggests.
The trails are short enough for a casual outing but varied enough to justify an hour or two. It pairs well with Frankfort's historic core and bourbon stops, especially when you want fresh air between indoor visits. After heavy rain, expect muddy stretches and stronger flow around the falls.
