Zeigler House

Zeigler House is the only Frank Lloyd Wright house built in Kentucky. Designed in 1910 for the Rev. Jesse R. Zeigler, it is a compact Prairie-style house with the low lines, careful proportions, and stained-glass detail associated with Wright's early work.

The house is a short architecture stop rather than a major museum visit, but Wright enthusiasts will want to seek it out while in Frankfort. Its most unusual feature is a lighted stained-glass case around the fireplace, a rare detail from Wright's Prairie period.
